Casares is a small municipality in the western side of the Costa del Sol in southern Spain in the province of Malaga. The same as other municipalities like Mijas for example, it´s life is based on the sea and the moutains with it´s rural urban nucleus. It´s small coast is locate in between Manilva and Estepona. Casares is found in between Guacin, Manilva and Estepona. They are the 3 municipalities that surround this town. It limits with the provinces of Malaga and Cadiz. It has a population of 6000 inhabitants and is at 430 meters above sea level and the coast.
This small locality has had many civilizations settle in it, starting with the Phoenicians and has slowly become one of the jewels of the Costa del sol due to it´s beautiful beaches, landscape, gastronomy and enchanting qualities.
Casares is the perfect spot for your holidays in the Costa del Sol, away from the stress and massification of places like Marbella.
